Good Faith Estimate

As of January 2022, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost per the No Surprises Act. Under this act, healthcare providers must give clients who don’t have insurance or aren’t using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for mental health services. The therapy fee for a 45-minute session is listed on my website in the FAQ session. The amount of sessions depends on some variables, including what you would like to address in therapy and how long you plan to participate in treatment. This differs for each individual and can change depending on availability, finances, life events, and other factors.
You can receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of psychotherapy services. Please feel free to ask me for one before you schedule therapy with me. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
